Position1: 4G Simulation System Designer
(Work Location:
Responsibility:
- 4G simulator development including simulator functional architecture, libraries
- 4G simulation algorithms development, define and derive technical requirements based on feature contents and customer requirements.
- Development of the verification procedures and test cases in order to validate compliance to requirements.
- Conduct simulations and provide analysis and recommendations based on simulation results to feed into product design, standards, and customers.
- Provide systems design input (requirements, algorithms, procedures, guidelines) to SW designers
- Author and review of technical documentation/report of the domain ownership area.
Requirements:
· Masters or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
· Expert in broadband wireless communications, with emphasis on 4G (WiMax, LTE, UMB) technologies: OFDMA, MIMO, signaling processing, advance receiver techniques, advanced antenna techniques is preferred
· Previous experiences in 3G (EVDO, UMTS, HSPA, etc.) are also valuable
· Familiar with 4G standards
· Excellent technical knowledge in wireless protocols: Physical, MAC, and upper layers is preferred.
· Expertise in wireless simulations and modeling: channel models, mobility, performance/capacity evaluation, algorithm development.
· Fluent spoken English and good writing skill
· Digital Comm theory, channel coding, channel estimation, Filtering & Detection, Queuing, Network and Probability theory, Random processes and Signal Processing.
· Experience (either academic or industrial) in algorithm development is required. Previous use of OPNET, Matlab, and C or C++ is preferred.
